This page explains, in plain words, what happens to the information you give us on this site.

Who collects it

Your information is collected by SCAR (the Stomach Cancer Awareness Run), organized by Cam Tran. The website is built and run on Cam's behalf by Pergola Wellbeing Society.

What we collect

• When you register: your name, email, phone, whether you'll walk, run or join virtually, t-shirt size, lunch choice, your waiver agreement, and a mailing address only if we need to mail your gift.
• When you offer to sponsor or volunteer: your name, contact details and what you'd like to help with.
• When you sign up for updates: your email address.

What it's used for

We use it to run the event — check-in, spots and the waitlist, lunch, shirts and toques, and getting in touch about the day. If you chose to get updates, we'll also email you about future SCAR events. You can unsubscribe anytime. We never sell your information or share it for anyone else's marketing.

Donations

Donations are made on CancerCare Manitoba Foundation's own site, not here. They handle your payment and tax receipt under their privacy policy; we never see your card details.

Deleting your information

To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email info@scarfoundation.ca and we'll take care of it.
